The closure
What happened to NRG Bet?
NRG Bet — nrgbet to plenty of its regulars — stopped working as a bookmaker in two steps. According to NRG’s closure notice, as reported by EuroGambling on 24 April 2026, deposits and new bets ended on Tuesday 21 April 2026. Customers could still withdraw through the site until Wednesday 20 May 2026; after that, balance questions moved to email at cs@nrg.bet.
The UK Gambling Commission register tells the same story from the regulator’s side. Sharedbet Limited, account 63635, held four remote licences — Bingo, Casino, General Betting Standard (Real Event) and General Betting Standard (Virtual Event) — under licence number 063635-R-338041-006. All four now read “Surrendered”, with an end date of 20 May 2026. The register records no regulatory actions against the company and lists the domain nrg.bet as inactive.
“Surrendered” means the operator handed the licences back; it is not the word the Commission uses for a revocation. NRG did not publish a reason for closing that we could find, so we don’t offer one.
One more piece of context: SharedBet had already closed its other brand, Rhino.bet. Both domains sit on the same register entry — see SharedBet’s other sites.

Balances
Your money and account after the closure
Short answer: the route back to a balance is email, not the website.
If you still had money on NRG when betting stopped, write to cs@nrg.bet from the email address registered on your NRG account — that is how the team can match you to your balance.
The closure notice also set out what happened to open bets. Winnings on bets settled before the closure are paid to your main payment method. Bets that would have settled after 20 May 2026 are refunded at stake.
The same notice says customer funds are protected for twelve months, until 21 April 2027. Keep a copy of every email you send and every reply you get.

Account access
NRG login: can you still sign in?

Logging in to NRG no longer gets you a bet: deposits and betting stopped on 21 April 2026. From outside the UK and Ireland, nrg.bet now shows only a customer service notice that points to cs@nrg.bet.
We haven’t seen what the login page shows a UK visitor today, so we won’t guess. For anything to do with a balance, email is the reliable route — the sign-in box isn’t.
Don’t type your NRG password anywhere else
Sites with names like “NRG login” or “NRG Bet UK” are not SharedBet. There is no alternative login address — never enter old NRG details on a lookalike page.
Operator
Who ran NRG Bet: SharedBet Ltd
What the brand said about itself, next to what the primary records say.
NRG’s own footer named SharedBet Ltd as the operator, and on that point the records agree. Where they differ is in the detail: the licence number the footer quoted, the licence status after May 2026 and the company’s address.
“licence number 63635”
63635 is the account number. The licence was 063635-R-338041-006.
“licensed and regulated by the Gambling Commission”
Status Surrendered since 20 May 2026. NRG held a licence from 10 January 2024 until that date.
Three addresses appear across the records: 25 Wilton Road, Pimlico, in the NRG footer; 1 Victoria Mainline Station, London, in the register; and 255 Old Shoreham Road, Hove, at Companies House.

Rumours
Is NRG Bet coming back?
What we found
No new licence and no new operator for the NRG brand in Great Britain. SharedBet’s register entry records no trading names, and both of its domains — nrg.bet and rhino.bet — are listed as inactive.
Three signs a “new NRG” isn’t SharedBet
- It promises a big NRG welcome bonus — the archived NRG pages we checked never showed one with figures.
- It calls itself a mirror or a new address.
- You can’t find its company in the UKGC public register.
If that changes — a new licence, a new operator or a new status in the register — it will appear in the Updates list on this page with the date we saw it. Until then, the only official contact left for NRG customers is the email address cs@nrg.bet, and any site asking you to log in or deposit under the NRG name is not SharedBet.

FAQ
NRG Bet questions
Is NRG Bet still open?
No. SharedBet Ltd, the company behind NRG Bet, surrendered all four of its UK Gambling Commission remote licences on 20 May 2026, and the register lists nrg.bet as inactive. According to NRG’s closure notice, deposits and new bets stopped on 21 April 2026.
Why did NRG Bet close?
NRG did not publish a reason we could find. What is on record: the register shows the licences as “Surrendered” rather than revoked, and SharedBet had earlier closed its other brand, Rhino.bet. We don’t speculate beyond that.
What happens to money left in my NRG account?
According to the closure notice, customers could withdraw through the site until 20 May 2026. After that, email cs@nrg.bet from the address on your account; funds are protected until 21 April 2027. Our withdrawal page lists what to include in the email.
Can I still log in to NRG Bet?
Betting and deposits stopped on 21 April 2026, so logging in no longer lets you bet. From outside the UK and Ireland, nrg.bet shows only a customer service notice. For balance questions, email cs@nrg.bet rather than hunting for a login page elsewhere.
Who owned NRG Bet?
NRG was run by SharedBet Ltd, registered at Companies House under number 14880373 on 19 May 2023. Its Gambling Commission account number was 63635, and it held licence 063635-R-338041-006 from 10 January 2024 until 20 May 2026.
Is there a new NRG Bet website?
Not one run by SharedBet. The company’s register entry lists only nrg.bet and rhino.bet, both inactive, and no trading names. Sites using the NRG name with large welcome offers are unrelated, so don’t deposit or enter old NRG login details there.
Does my GamStop self-exclusion still apply?
Yes. GamStop covers every operator licensed by the UK Gambling Commission, so an exclusion you set while using NRG still blocks you at other UK-licensed sites for its full term. Closing NRG does not end or shorten it.
Verdict
NRG Bet is closed, and its licences went back to the regulator on 20 May 2026.
If you still have a balance, email cs@nrg.bet from your account address before 21 April 2027 and keep copies. Treat any “new NRG” site with a big bonus as unrelated to SharedBet, and never enter old NRG login details on it. If you want to keep betting in the UK, the button goes to today’s pick.

Checked 24 September 2026 — how we checked
We opened the UK Gambling Commission register entry for Sharedbet Limited (account 63635) and read the licence table and domain list; looked up SHAREDBET LIMITED at Companies House; read the NRG footer on archived copies of nrg.bet from October 2025 and January 2026; checked the NRG.Bet listing in the UK App Store. How we check.

What we couldn’t check
We could not read NRG’s original closure notice or its terms directly: nrg.bet can’t be viewed from outside the UK and Ireland, and the terms page did not load in archived copies.
